Pseudo-rail Pistol "Socket"

The Janus Arms T4-20a "Socket" circumvents anti-railgun treaties by using the magnetically driven rear firing piston to "push" projectiles, rather than directly magnetically accelerating the projectiles themselves.

The main magnetic coil array spins projectiles along their axis, and prevents contact with the inner barrel, negating the need for rifling and reducing friction and wear.
